New King rules at July Sale

Consigned by Jamie Railton, New King was the top priced lot at Tattersalls July Sale.

New King rules at July Sale

Not only was the colt the week’s sales topper, at 450,000 gns he was also the second highest price ever recorded at the Tattersalls July sale. The Qatar Racing owned New King showed a devastating turn of foot to win at Sandown a month prior to the sale resulting in interest from all over the world. The hammer eventually fell in favour of James Harron. He now heads to Australia where we will hopefully see him in action at the Spring Carnival.

Reflecting on the rest of the sale, we were delighted to see an unbelievable 93% clearance rate and a huge thirst for the British and Irish bred horses.
