Saturday started with a smooth win down the rail for Far Above at Newmarket, making him 4 career wins from 5 starts. He was sold by us at the 2017 Tattersalls Book 3 yearling sale to Matt Whyte for 18,000gns. Matt subsequently breezed him at the Craven sale the following year where he sold for an impressive 105,000gns. Despite reports that he is a fairly fragile horse, he seems to have the talent to keep on winning at Stakes level.
Later on Saturday night, we were delighted to hear of a second Stakes win for our 2018 Tattersalls Book 3 graduate, Hariboux. Having sold him to Philippa Mains as a yearling, he showed some talent on the track for Hugo Palmer and was subsequently sold to the US. This weekend was his second win at Stakes level at Santa Anita and he has now won over $220,000 for connections.
Finally, Sunday at Newmarket saw our pinhooking graduate, Global Storm tough it out in a competitive handicap. Jamie bought him at the Tattersalls December Foal sale for 200,000gns and he was sold, after an unsuccessful attempt at Tattersalls Book 1, at the Craven Breeze-up Sale by Powerstown Stud. At the sale, he was able to show his true potential and sold for 260,000gns, a healthy return on investment.
