Doncaster was the scene of many highs and lows for all but we were delighted to sell our Adaay colt (out of Place in my Heart) for £210,000 to Shadwell. They have a fantastic roster of trainers and he is sure to excel with any one of them. The brother to two stakes winners and a very promising 2 year old in Hand on my Heart, we hope to see him at Royal Ascot next year.
The clearance rate was hard to measure with many horses being sold in the ring but there was clearly money available for the better horses. The results from the following day at Baden-Baden in Germany suggest this may well be the story for the rest of the season.
